I want to see how well it does in benchmarks. I agree with Sajin that competition is good but I am not sure if they are going to be playing in the same ballpark as NVIDIA. It could be that we see them being bigger competition for AMD and the lower end NVIDIA cards. If that happens it could be harder for anyone to challenge NVIDIA performance lead at the high end market.

I am not switching from Nvidia. Intel will have to prove themselves worthy of being in the graphics card market. If they have better performance, reliability and price then I would think about switching. The competition thing would be an advantage to bring down the overpriced Nvidia cards. I will definitely be watching to see how this plays out.

I think it's glorious news and hope EVGA sells them too.
From my experience with intel (MB), they were always about stability than anything else so I gladly welcome them to the GPU ring. Competition is much needed.

More competition is always good for the consumer, and usually increases quality and product development from manufacturers. Got a feeling Intel will be aiming at the mid-range market to start with though, rather than high-end.

As long as they are paying for the lunch, I'm down with it. :D Thanks X-Ray

You make it sounds like Intel hasn't been doing graphics for over a decade. While it's been intergraded graphics in the past they do have the skills to make that work and run pretty well for 1080p gaming and you don't hear people talking about how it didn't work. I think a card will be interesting mostly to see how it shakes out and the market they are going for. I don't see them going for the 2080Ti though.

It’s Intel Radeon version 1.5 Edition considering who is designing and managing the project.

I wonder what dirty tricks Intel might end up doing to give Intel graphics cards an advantage. CPU designed to boost performance if it detect genuine Intel graphics card. They could call it "Intel GPU Game Boost Mode".
