I'm using the onboard audio, but the problem I have isn't the quality, its with the Soundblaster Control Panel. My Bose speakers seem to have an internal crossover, so I need a bit more bass in the 125hz range so it has a full sound.
When I set an equalizer profile, its not persistent on reboot. I have to open the Soundblaster Control Panel and change one of the sliders for the software to recognize that the equalizer is enabled. I've tried all the usual uninstall/reinstall steps to no avail.
Using the Microsoft driver which automatically installs, this isn't an issue. I can add bass boost with the enhancements tab without a problem. Running Windows 10 x64 ver. 1903.
Otherwise, the onboard doesn't seem to have any quality issues I can hear, but I'm only using a Logitech gaming headset and Bose desktop speakers.
Intrestingly enough, the UEFI lists it as "realtek audio" in the onboard device menu.
