an upgraded a bit pc from my previous x58 build for gaming ,with some used parts.
yes the cooler touch the vga

    already had the parts missing the motherboard so why not.the extra 2 cores do nice job in battlefield v.i thought games dont use more than 6 cores

    thanks ,yes those recycled parts still worth use it  for gaming ,even the x58 has life left if your are going to play 1080p

    The X58 was one of Intel's best chipsets and still holds up strongly even up to today's standards

    I would move the videocard to the 3rd slot, that slot runs in 16x mode. That way it will no longer touch the CPU cooler and it will be closer to the front intake fan.

    i thought about it ,but dont know if i am going to loose any performance.this board can take up to 128gb ram with 16gb ddr3 sticks.

    Nice upgrade, x58 was a great chipset/mb. Is it just the fan edge touching GPU? Doesn't seem to be pushing on it from pic anyway. +1

    The first and the third slots utilize 16 lanes each, so the videocard will perform the same in either of those slots.

    nice thanks,i was afraid cause motherboard manual mension for 1 vga use 1st pcie slot.
    hope noctua will release soon their new cpu cooler with 7 pipes and this one will be compatible with this motherboard.

    just saw that the nh-d15s is compatible with that motherboard ,so this might be the best solution.

    with patience and negotiation you can find them on ebay with less than 150$
    yes i've seem sell them for 300-400$ but lets get real with that money i buy a ryzen DDR4 setup.

    Agreed. That is why I have a Threadripper build myself. Saving now for a 3rd gen Threadripper which I hope will be available some time in October.

    no the cooler is touching/pushing a bit the VGA ,if it had another 1-2mm would be fine.
    found a temp solution and will wait for noctua new cooler
