Just wanted to check in and see if anyone has additional solutions on constant double click problems with the X10.  Order date is Dec 2016 is that puts it to a specific problem set.  Just thought I'd see if anyone has any new thoughts before I trash it because it's gone from occasional to near 100% of clicks.
 
I've tried everything I could find here resetting, un/reinstall, unplug, and looked at reseating, but this is an home office use type mouse and there's no play in anything so I think taking it apart might not help the situation and left it alone since there's no outer indication that's a problem.

    Guess that's the best course of action.  Was just hoping for one weird trick... but it sounds like I probably exhausted those.

    Sounds like it could be some sort of issue with the Micro-switch ("contact bounce") or the circuit is glitching/ interrupted & giving two outputs
     
    Either way I'm would think replacement is the best solution

    Only other thing I could see is open up the top in which the weights are and make sure everything is ok inside of it. You should at that point be able to look down and see the switch itself but it might take a bit of extra light to see the switch and see if anything physically looks odd. It also could be just that the top isn't fully clicked into place.

    "Order date is Dec 2016" is a little old for a Mouse, have you cleaned it up at all?
    Take the Top Off and Give it a good blowing out.
    Use a Q-Tip 90% Isopropyl Alcohol to clean up and then Blow it out well.
    Have you set the Clicking Speed on the Left and Right Buttons in Windows?

    Check to see if a new firmware was released for the mouse.

    I just started having this issue in the past week,  as well.  I came here looking for insight.  I love this mouse but it's becoming increasingly frustrating to use. The most recent drivers I could find are 1.9.4 released in 2015.  I tried everything the original poster did.  I did a repair with the most recent download and so far, it has shown an improvement, but it's not 'fixed'.  A single click on a link will generate multiple things to open or display.  Or when I'm gaming, I'll click to open something like a map or the UI menu; and it flashes open/close.

    Just had the same issue: random douple click, random no click, absolutly no click. I cleaned the buttons with isopropanol and now everything is fine again. Like a new mouse.

    I had the same problem double-clicking with the EVGA mouse the solution is to buy a new mouse it stopped double-clicking.
