I always bought MSI previously because I once RMA'd a card and they gave me a free upgrade. EVGA is supposedly "the best" in terms of customer service. I am a bit pissed that my card died so fast when I had it liquid cooled at 50c under load and barely overclocked. I used "Cross-Ship", so had to provide collateral for the replacement. What can I expect? Do the replacements have Samsung memory? Or is it the exact same card that will die in six months? Does EVGA ever give you an upgrade for the trouble?

You can expect to get a card that uses either micron or samsung memory. You can expect to get a recertified card, but you could get a new card if they don't have any recertified cards in stock. Yes, evga has been know to give out upgrades, but since you already have a 2080 ti there isn't really anything to upgrade to.

This would definitely be my last EVGA purchase of they give me a recertified card with micron memory. The upgrade would be from a black edition to say an XC or something, the black edition comes with a "non-A" GPU chip. I've never had a card die six months in before, specially one that I intentionally didn't overclock anywhere near it's limit.

Sorry to see you have had issues with your card

It is Not likely the Memory that is issue .... Nvidia has not been forthcoming on Root cause ... except a blurp about contaminated chips from the foundry

My 2 non- Samsung memory cards have been extremely reliable  - Other members with Micron memory also state no issues

Spoiler Alert: Not so great. The card did have Samsung memory though, lets see what the second card has.
