Faced with the fact that slot 1 PCI-e is located very close to the processor socket. My cooler Noctya NH-15D almost rests against the back card of the video card. To remove the video card, you need to press the lock of the PCI-e slot, then the internal fan of the cooler must be removed to get to the lock. A fan fastener pressed against the back of the video card. In general, it turns out a very unpleasant operation. I wonder if there are video cards whose back board is slightly offset from the axis of the PCI-e slot? Has anyone encountered this problem? Video card 1060 Gygabyte.

That is the biggest issue with Massive heatsinks - does everything fit Does your MB & CPU combo have another PCIe slot that would support x16 ?
Even x8 speeds of the PCIe lane is not a big performance hit ~ 5% - 8% & a few Frames per second Slot 1 is the normal position; but, usually not the Only position -- You CPU will determine what PCIe slots are available with the hardware you installed

7820x - 28 lanes. Only first slot. Yes, and I had to remove the fans with the VRM- abut into the copper tubes of the radiator. It’s good that the processor doesn’t heat VRM up much. And, of course, I had to disassemble the entire system in order to replace the battery. It turned out 0.3 V. But I read what I checked, but I was too lazy.

use a plastic ruler or cut up some stiff cardboard to stick in to unlock pcie slots.
