Hi there everyone.

Its been a while to know that evga is working on sr-3 dark motherboard (courtesy of google/youtube)
Not to mention it has a very unique layout and considering power inputs from only one PSU as compared to that of Asus Dominus and Gigabyte Aorus.
But i am surprised there is nothing seem to be here not even a clue as to where the board has reached till now. I dont blame but i dont believe as if SR fans are not waiting or looking for some news on this project. Also if by any chance any clue towards its price ?

Those Monster 56 Core CPU are Only going into Turn key Servers ... per Intel, last I looked

But is it really an SR board without 2 chips or just an updated version of the E-762?

Wow! Not even Released and moved under EVGA Intel 270/170/9/8/Legacy Series 

Nice looking motherboard if it comes to fruition.

A shame it's only 1CPU and not 2CPU like EVGA's previous SR Series.

Man I would love to make a return to an HPTX or similar sized board. But when the board will cost $700+ easily and you can drop thousands on a single CPU your talking a system that only a select few will ever be able to afford. It makes me sad, also makes me miss my SR2...

The only sr-2 is like a jewel to the enthusiast. But i have a very keen interest in sr-3 because of its design and support for wide range of cpus with a good price tag compared to asus dominus and gigabyte aorus. And one thing more sr-3 wont be an hptx profiler. It might be an EATX.

Can't set a super record if 4-way sli doesn't work on the board.

Im sure you can set a record with 4 2080ti's on that board

and SR3 should be reserved for 4 socket - they could have just named it SR2 reborn
 

Getting 4-way sli to work seems to be a luck of the draw type of deal as Tin & Kingpin couldn't get 4-way sli to work on time spy extreme using the x299 dark.

We all know that the famous Dominus Extreme from Asus in LGA3647 was a collaboration of Intel and Asus to represent their famous 28 core w3175x. On the verge to answer amd with their threadripper 32 core. Intel manage to pull enough scores to prove non the less their xeon w3175x is better in most aspect.
Respective of the performance this came with a hefty price tag on both the processor and the motherboard. As of both Asus Dominus Extreme as well as Gigabyte’s Aorus Xtreme C621 were especially designed to overclock the w3175x. It was particular that these motherboards will be with more then expected prices since they come with the gaminv line branding.
On the other hand Asus not only wanted to capture market trending towards enthusiasts but the server class as well with their Remarkable Asus Sage C621 dual socket LGA3647. That too had a spotlight in server classification.

EVGA SR-3 Dark.

Since the release of SR-2 Classified. Boy i remember those glorious days. Evga not only attempted to do the obvious when no one thought of exposing such platform on enthusiast level. I must say it was a success over all. Eliminating barriers and combining server class to mainstream enthusiast class. However the product ended up with an overkill price tag. Still people who as of a bencher, enthusiast and serious hardware geeks took the jewel. Not only this alot of server level companies/firms and developers felt proud of keeping using this hardware and preferred it as best in class.

Im not going to talk about SR-X.

The long awaited SR-3 was yet to be released combining both of server and enthusiast class. The pre released ambitions of this board included a layout surprising in a different yet unique way. Tilted socket along 6 channels 6 ram slots gave extra room for power section. Compared to Asus and Gigabyte SR-3 offered single powersupply inputs. Offering same oc potential. Not only this SR-2 offered almost complete line of LGA3647 processors.
Its about time SR-3 should be introduced as SR-2 was meant to overclock Xeons yet most powerful xeons. SR-X unfortunately could not provide full potential as most xeons remained locked in LGA2011.
Probably expensive but would be least expensive in comparison with Dominus and Xtreme C621 previously released by Asus and Gigabyte.

Even if there will be a version of a dual socket. Firstly W3175 has no dual processor support and secondly W3175 is/was the main reason to introduce such motherboards.

So I'm guessing evga will be releasing an aio just like this one for this motherboard.

May be evga will just go with two of the editions just like kingpin is for waterloop specifically.
