Hi all, I've bought RTX 2060 XC Black(06G-P4-2061-KR), the one which have one single fan and when I game the gpu goes up to 83C and the fan ramps up to 3000 RPM (which I guess it's max speed), I would to know if it's normal for this model to reach those temperatures(the case has a nice air flow, my i5 6500 at 100% load with the stock cooler is at 55C, so the air flow is not a problem here), but reading online seems like a good temperature for this card is 72C and not with the fan at full speed. Do you think I have got a faulty model guys and there is any chance to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance, any input can be helpful.

Hi core811 and welcome to the EVGA forums!

The max temp for the RTX 2060s is 88C but the card will begin to throttle around 85C so although 83C is high the card is still within acceptable temperatures.

Also, temps vary from card to card and as long as its not throttling or exceeding its thermal limit before overheating, the most you can do is have the best optimal air flow configuration with your case fans.

You can set a custom fan curve and a temperature target on the card using Precision X1 https://www.evga.com/precisionx1/

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for your time, I tried precision x1 and it hasn't worked for me, I'm still at 83C now (it take a little more time to reach it and the fan is at 3000 RPM) and for me is still a too high temperature, I'm not feeling comfortable at playing at those temps even if as you said the max temp before the card starts thermal throttling is 85C, is not healty for a GPU to reach those temperatures.
I've installed another fan inside my case, and while the CPU has lost a degree or two, the 2060 doesn't care about the additional fan.
I guess I have reached the max air flow achievable with this case.
Do you have any other advice?
Can I try something else to improve those temperatures?
I really want to fix this problem, and if I can't I have to return it and buy another model.
Thank you again for your time.

I would take the cooler off the card and replace the Thermal Paste on the GPU chip with something like MX-4, spreading it very thinly and evenly over the entire GPU chip.

You can remove the cooler by taking out the four black screws shown here in the center of the card.

That is simple to do and will not void the warranty as long as you don't physically damage the card in any way.

    Roll from there.
