Nice...id like to see that 3175x tortured and the results...be nice to know how much voltage etc... you had to use too.

Just another day, cleaning lab and dusting off my workstation. First ever photo of the motherboard it have - EVGA X99 DARK prototype, running i7-6950X BDX-E chip and 80 GB of DDR4. Only handful of people knew of it's existance :) (Clickable pic)  Tried couple crazy ideas on it, look at that bizzare 10 DIMM layout :) Some of the ideas as result were tested and now reused on X299 DARK.

Love the 10 dims idea.... but its probably really rough on the IMC! I guess you could always do a variant like that with 10 dims in a small batch limited edition though. I love seeing prototypes and engineering samples like this with mobos and big boards, pretty fascinating the things that get dreamed up. Keep up the good work TiN!

Why didn't the 10 DIMM design make it into any retail boards?

+1... yeah and the tech support headaches of guys not getting the overclocking results they expect might not be worth the hassle to evga. Although, if anyone was going to do it id think it would be evga since we at least have a decent community to help each other out and figure out the best case scenarios. It certainly would give evga a bunch of press like when they dropped the SR boards.

So cool motherboard. Amazing. X99 prototype with i7-6950X. That's processor I like most. I can't describe how much miss me these type of look without RGB, without ugly heatsinks... Amazing. That's paradise, ES i7-6950X and prototype of X99 motherboard. I love X99 so much because remind me on previous excellent platform X58 and X79. I still can't invest in AMD platform, something not allow me to enjoy in AMD based motherboards. Only need Nateman's not commercialized waterblock...
