Hey everyone I'm trying to decide between a 1660 Ti and a 2060 mainly for folding. For ease of recommendations, I'll be running stock speeds and either way they'll both be 99% dedicated to folding. Is it worth the extra $100+ for a 2060, I've searched and found few calculations on their efficiency and they are pretty closely matched. Would it just be a personal preference to drop the extra $$? Any extra info you can add to aid my choice would be very helpful! Thanks! Edit: Price/power consumption is a concern, if that was unclear, price more than power. I'm looking to stay under $400

I think you will be quite happy with the 2060. It has the 1920 pixel pipeline VS the 1660ti 1536 pp. Hope you like it.

I picked up a 1660 ti (MSI Armor OC; boooo MSI, I know) for about $270 and have been happy with it. It puts out a respectable 650k ppd while running as the primary graphics card on a Win 7 desktop, which is a 9 yr old Phenom II x6 platform that I still use every day. I will be putting together a new gen 3 Ryzen machine this summer and will post some data when I install the 1660 ti into a modern board.

That's not too bad DrSchmidt, I don't think anyone will gripe about brand, many use other hardware manufacturers. If the price is right, you gotta bite. lol
