I thought this would be interesting to anyone who was worried about ray tracing getting used: Looks also like AMD is working on ray tracing with Sony.

I felt it fits into a few different areas since it’s hardware, gaming and industry news. Really I am mostly excited since it means the next generation will be filled with Ray Tracing titles. E3 will also be a very big event when titles start to show off ray tracing.

    Good job AMD

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

I just don't see a console released in the next 2 years being to handle the gimped ray tracing we have now. We have $1400 graphic cards that have trouble getting above 30fps at 4k native res in games like Battlefield with ray tracing and graphics settings turned up.

Lets see a GPU under $400 that can give gamers over 120FPS at native 4k res with medium graphics in a new AAA game. I doubt will see that 4 years.

It really depends on what we are talking about. The PS3 and Xbox 360 supported 1080p gaming but most are 720p of 960p. We could see them run the games at 1080p and old PS4 games running up at 8K 30FPS. If it does support new games at 4K you have to consider consoles don’t really shoot hyper fast frame rates and consider 30fps to be playable. So to start we are more of talking about a 2070 performance and two years after that card was released. Also I expect more of a $599 price point at release.

I think the real time they will offer 4K gaming will be like 2024 when they come out with a PS5 Pro that really gives 4K gaming by adding double or triple the graphics power.

I really don’t care that much about the PS5 as I like my PC more for most gaming but I think this has a huge impact on what we can expect to see in PC gaming in the next year or two since the PS5 will probably release with games that have been out on the PS4 and PC for a few months.
