Hi all! Let me just give you a little history.
I came home one night afterwork and pc would not boot at all. Had a flashing blue light on motherboard. Researching the internet forums, the power supply seemed to be most likely culprit.
I bought a new evga 850 gq power supply, got pc to boot but when I put it back in the case, a case fan connector was sitting on heatsink and started to melt on it ( I know...rookie mistake) so I decided to buy a refurbished one from newegg.
I have hooked everything back up. the pc turns on but it randomly shuts off. I've taken it all apart...reseating cpu, the cpu heatsink, the memory, reset the cmos. I've even installed a fresh install of windows 10 pro on a new ssd and I still get the random reboots. I can put my Win 7 installation into safe mode w/networking and it will work for a long time until I put it under a bit of a load then that restarts too. Full power down then boots back up by itself again.
I've installed HW monitor and i havent seen any extreme temperatures when it shuts down. Please EVGA gurus...I'm at your mercy. I'm too broke right now to build a new one and I'd like to get back to gaming again. I'll follow whatever steps you suggest. Thanks in advance.
