That would be subjective to whom ever was listening. The X-Fi is what, 9 year old tech now? We have had the Recon, Zx and AE-5 (latest) since. I have a Zx which I like plus I use a Sennheiser GSX 1000 external DAC which I like. The Nu, if I am not mistaken, is a audiophile grade sound card so I am guessing it would sound pretty good compared to a 9 year old sound card....
Just buy it! :D

I have the HD version of this sound card (that I just replaced with the Nu Audio) and the Nu Audio will make good quality music and your games sound better. I`m not sure of the difference in sound between the HD and non-HD but I assume the HD is a little better at least, so you may notice even more than what I did. Also, you have to remember there will be no more support for the Titanium from Creative (see quote below). When I updated to the last driver after a windows reset, it would not let me use the Equalizer. All of this made me go for the NU Audio. Awesome decision. I love it with my beyerdynamic MMX 300 Gen 2. End of Service LifeThe product you have selected has been classified as 'End of Service Life'. Edit: Fixed typo and I just saw the page for your card has a new driver update on the 21st of this month. The page for my Titanium hd had the last driver update in 2016.

why i need that HXS-HSEC2 is it because lack of mic support from the Evga Nu headphone socket? i mean Evga Nu only supports microphone from the mic-in socket?

Yes, headphone socket is only a 2 pole stereo jack. This is not a "Lack" mic support on the headphone jack.
Real audio equipment doesn't use a 4 pole jack, that is left to things like cellphones and tablets
That page I linked had a chart that showed the features of the different headphones, some had a single 4 pole jack and shipped with an USB adapter and some shipped with normal separate headphone / mic jacks. They list that adapter to be able to plug your headset into a normal setup

How big of a difference that going to be up to you to tell. Audio is very subjective. I would play it safe. If you plan on buying NU Audio, buy it from a retailer that has a good return policy (no restocking fee), just in case you don't notice a big enough difference for it's price tag. Spirit_Rises

I'm interested about that too. The whole point of a sound card is to process audio. I don't know if Hoggle knows this, Creative newer sound cards like the AE-5 version have two modes built into it. Direct mode allows you to bypass the BlasterX Acoustic engine.

by the way as i said before i have Kingston Jyper-X cloud 2 and i am now deciding tobuy ATH-AD700X to pair with Evga Nu, what do you think about this bundle? does ATH-AD700X make a significant difference over my hyper-x 2 headset? or hyper-x cloud 2 enough for Evga NU?

The EVGA NU Audio soundcard is meant for higher grade headphones/speakers. My suggestions? Get it and then upgrade your headphones.  I use the Audio Technica ATH-MX50 and they are great! So for your bundle, Yeah go for it.

Yes, the 700x is a great headset. Of course, if you have the funds go for the 1000x, it is a big difference in sound quality based off the quad-core cord independent grounding for left and right channels allowing for great dynamic sound. If you are just gaming though, and not really that big of an audiophile, the 700x is more than enough.
