I would say it’s safe to buy one now. I bought the 2080 ti hybrid directly from EVGA and added the warranty to 5 years. EVGA stands behind their products, so no worries. If it dies, then it gets replaced. I’ve never had a bad experience with EVGA.

Nice EVGA sell pitch. Could not have put it better.

I will say wait for the price drop, but I will hold if i were you for whats coming at the end of the year since a quarter of the year is already gone.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

What' do you think is coming at the end of the year?

Nvidia switched to Samsung 7nm, there will not be any GPUs in 2019 for NV, nor any reason, AMDs offering is a bust, they have no competetion, the process isn't ready, and they havent sold enough RTX.

If your waiting for 7nm, your going to be waiting a long time. The price hike is also a good indication of this, hike prices to extend generations. I think they new their would be downtime, and that's likely a factor in the price hike.

Also with the tariffs coming, the prices are not going to go down, if anything they will go up lol.

Cyber, I must say that was a great assessment.  Maybe you won't see a GPU around the usual 2 year mark.  3 years?  Maybe.....Or the costs will even be higher as its much more costly to produce these GPUs.
