GeForce GT 710 dead? New build

Hello  I bought a new GT710 to go with Gigabyte GA-EX58 motherboard. I have everything together but the monitor Im using is a 22" VGA plug type. The monitor does not see any signal entering it. The GT710, I can see fan spinning so I know its getting power. And I have the DDR3 installed in proper slots for 2 sticks  The vid card is iinstalled in one of the PCIEX_16

    Maybe the vga output on the video card is defective. See if hdmi & dvi outputs also display no signal.

    Well then you could take the card to a local pc shop and have them test it out for you.

    I do have a tv with hdmi inputs, can I use one of those?

    No good   hooked up HDMI from tv next to comp and nothing   must be something else?

    Did you leave the monitor plugged into the vga port while you were testing the hdmi output?

    Inside the bios do you have the integrated graphics disabled? Is your motherboard bios completely up to date? Have you tried testing the card in another pci-e slot?

    Yes I have 3 PCI express 16 slots. tried in each one. This is first Ive fired up new motherboard also, All lights on MOBO seem normal. I do not have another pc to test card in. going to reachout to friend whos into computers to come over when has chance
