Powerlink LEDs stopped working when I installed 2080Ti

Everything worked fine with the 1080Ti, but now the LEDs arent working after swapping in the 2080Ti.  It's the EVGA Black Edition XC.
 
Anyone experience this before?  The Powerlink was only purchased 6 months ago and I have used it under normal conditions (never modded it, don't overclock, etc.).
 
As far as I can tell, the GPU is getting the appropriate amount of power.

    Pretty sure the power link doesn't light up.

    None of my Power Links have LEDs.

    My brother modded it and I assumed it came that way [facepalm].

    I've always been tempted to try and cut out the LOGO and place an LED in mine
