It has only 5 sata ports.
How many hdds per port?
Can i use splitters for more?

I came across some Rosewill RSV-SATA-Cages that use 2 4 pin molex to power up 4 hdds.
Can i connect 2 of those cages in one port of the 1600w psu?
Or can i use a vga 8pin to two molex cable to connect the rosewill cage to?

    Based off the following picture...

Looks like 15 just by sata alone.

You should be able to connect 5 Molex devices
    1600W PSU

    under the Specs Tab

    Four-Pin Peripheral     5x

    Thanks for the reply sajin.
Can i use splitters for additional if needed?
Also the rosewill hdd cages come with molex connectors, can i connect them to the vga ports of the psu using an 8pin to 2 4 pin molex cable?

Not sure why you'd need to do that as it looks like the unit comes with at least 4 molex.

So a single 6 pin port can easily handle 2 rosewill cages(4 molex ports total) right?
I tried to find a 6 pin to 4 molex port cable and i was able to only find a 6 pin to 2 molex port cable. Does a 6 pin to 5 molex ports cable exists?
Also can the vga ports be used to connect to the rosewill hdd cages using a molex to vga cable?
I read the vga ports cannot connect to the hdds directly but dont know if the same applies to the rosewill hdd cages that use a backplane.

There are 3 Molex on one cable & two on another cable as the PSU is sold

    --- Four-Pin Peripheral Cable   1x 550mm, 650mm, 750mm (m)

    ---- SATA / Four-Pin Peripheral Cable   1x 550mm, 700mm, 850mm, 1000mm (m)

You could ask EVGA through CS if you could buy additional Molex cables

I'm thinking to build a cheap nas or a home server and to be future proof i'm looking for a psu that can support more than 20 hdds.
Is it possible for the evga 1600w to support more than 15 hdds?

I just found a 6 pin to 4 molex cable.
Can the evga 1600w support this cable?
With this cable i can connect 2 rosewill 4xhdd cages and the psu having 5 6 pin ports that would give support to 40 hdds.
Is this the max the 1600w psu can handle?
Can the vga ports be used to connect to rosewill's molex ports?

Using the psu cables that come with the psu you can do 22 drives. I personally wouldn't try to use that 6-pin cable in the 8-pin vga ports because...

#1 The ports require 8-pins cables.
#2 The 6-pin cable most likely isn't even compatible with the 1600w t2 psu.

    Thanks for the help Sajin.

I read also the vga ports run on different voltage and amp and are not good for hdds. I was thinking if it's different story when you use an 8 pin to molex adapter and plug that to the backplane of an hdd cage as then you dont plug the cable directly to hdds but on a backplane that could regulate the voltage and amp that go to it.

Is it really true that only the cables that come with the evga psu are good for that psu?
I was thinking to get a 6 pin to 5 sata connectors so i can connect 5 hdds per psu sata port.
There's people on youtube that customize psu sata cables and add more sata connectors on the cable to connect more hdds. Is this safe and what should be the max sata connectors per 6 pin psu port?

No problem. The cables that come with the psu are 100% compatible with the psu. Other cables may not be 100% compatible with the psu unless the cables are purposely built for the unit. Custom cables is definitely another route you could take. 4 per cable.
