Hi all, My EVGA 980 Ti Hybrid AIO stared to make clicking sounds like a hdd would make that is failing. At first, I thought it was an air bubble but then the temps have been going through the roof 93c and I know the AIO most likely have just not enough glycol left (or whatever they used).
So I need to replace the AIO on my Hybrid 980ti I really don't know where to start.
I have 2 options right now 1.) Get a new Card and see $1200 leave my wallet (money I really don't have right now) or 2.) get an AIO replacement of some kind.
Any and all help is very welcome.
Thanks

I assume that your 980Ti Hybrid's warranty has expired. If not, definitely get it replaced under warranty directly by EVGA. If the warranty has expired, a Kraken G12 mounting kit is an option with a Kraken X series cooler.

For example, Kraken G12 plus X42 cooler.

= $162.98

ORDER DATE:
10/11/2015
There is no return XD I have ordered the following parts after doing 3 hours research, I really hope it was enough:
NZXT Kraken G12 GPU Mounting Kit Black
Thermaltake Water 3.0 Riing Red 140 All-In-One Liquid Cooling
poo I forgot thermal paste... guess I am taking a walk to the local PC store...
Nope! Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Grease 1g just ordered. I will go to the local chemist and get some alcohol wipes they are so cheap there better than getting online as they do the same thing. Very clean.
Just under $200 AUD or roughly $141.66 USD and this included 2 different postal charges (online orders only for one on the parts).
I will give an update of how things turn out. I may even add pictures...
I wish I had just waited for your reply XD it was very near what I was going for but no one sells the X42 only the M22 now and I read one poor dude tried to make them work together and they did not. Thanks heaps for the feedback. Anyway I will update soon as I can.

Cool!

For future reference (for you or anyone else), with the relatively high failure rate of 980Ti video cards during the previous 6 months, I am sure that another cheaper option would be to buy a non-functioning parts-only card on eBay and convert the functioning hybrid card (with non-functioning pump) back to an air-cooled card.

For me, that option is a "No." I like the way the card performs under liquid cooling I have seen what people get (in terms of air cooling) for these cards and there is just no way and no going back. $200 for me is 1/10 the cost of a 2080ti and that's the next upgrade.. but No! I am not paying that much. I will wait until the 2180ti comes out and then finally upgrade. Until then I have to save up my dollarydoos (money). I am actually excited to be doing this upgrade. The card is now all in bits (yes I took care and know where all the screws go.. I think XD) But for some time now I really wanted to mod my card with better cooling and better paste I just never had a reason. Well, here it is YAY!

cost $200 AUD
looks good and runs really well. 30c - 35c ideal and never over 55c under full benchmarking loads.
Thermaltake Red Riing 140
NZXT G12
kryonaut thermal grizzly
I am thinking of pulling off the old thermal pads to get a little more air flow but really having them on does not hurt.
Now to save for a RTX 2080ti or 1680ti when they come out after mid year (if they become a real thing)
