    I was curious about the limited step-up options as well.  I purchased the RTX 2080 Black (08G-P4-2081-KR) a few weeks ago and thought that if the noise got to me I could step-up to one of the hybrids.  Now I would like to step-up to the FTW3 Ultra Hybrid (08G-P4-2284-KR) but only options are the XC or jump to the TI (and I don't foresee any 4K gaming for me any time soon).  I wish I would have realized that there were only limited options before, but I probably would have made the same decision and be in the same position.
     
    Any insight on why the step-up options are limited instead of being wide open?
     
    Edit:  I read one of the stickies and they basically just say for stock reasons.   I guess that's their policy.  I'll likely just get the hybrid kit.
