BOINC downloading tasks almost 2 minutes early...

"Store at least..." and "Store up to an additional..." are both set to zero, yet BOINC insists on downloading new tasks 2 minutes before they are needed.  Does anyone know of a way to tweak this?

    On what BOINC Project?
    If PG make sure you set the Primary (default) preferences (Resource share) to 0
    I set the (Resource share) on all PG PrimeGrid preferences to 0

    Is there any advantage to not having tasks waiting to be done?  Is it like Folding and the longer you have the tasks, the fewer points you receive?

    With primegrid finding primes, the first person to turn in the task is the founder. The 2nd one in a the double checker.
    So you do not want tasks sitting around getting old

    WCG and GPUgrid.  Do they base points on how long the task has been out?


    GPUGRID has some High Points for the Longer running tasks and overall WGC are very Lowe Points.
    I was running Help Stop TB last month and they can take up 16 Hours the norm about 21 on my Server.
    Claimed/ Granted BOINC Credit  519.9 / 441.1 Very Low Indeed. Runtime 19.93 / 31.46 Hours

    Makes no difference with WCG but GPUDRID it makes a big difference.
    GPUGRID only allows Two Tasks Per GPU One Running One in the Cue.
    0.6 will get you both any lower you do not get that Second one.
    GPUGRID is also a very hard Project to get tasks But ATM http://www.gpugrid.net/server_status.php
    Rare That they have Tasks like this and I would full 1 Day 1 Day only to run them but I am lock on PG till the end of the month.
    Short runs (2-3 hours on fastest card) 115 1,459
    Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card) 2,288
    Nice time to Run this Project for sure

    Real Bummer that RTX Cards are Not Supported on GPUGRID.

    Ok, thanks.  With 1 and 0, I get the two tasks so I'm all good.  I forgot that WCG badges aren't based on points anyway, they're based on CPU compute time.  Looks like I unintentionally derailed/took over the OPs post.  Sorry about that.
