Apex Legends is being appreciated by players for having a polished, well-tested presentation, slick gameplay, reasonable eye-candy, low "pay-to-win" perception among players, good performance on entry-level and mainstream graphics hardware, and offering many of the inventory-management, gameplay, and teamplaying features felt lacking in other titles. The game is free-to-play, distributed through Origin.

It's a solid game. I haven't played more than a few days, but I'd say I'm hooked. Best BR I've ever played.

Only reason it's popular is because people want to try something other than Fortnite and PUBG. Give it a couple months and soon it'll die down and everyone will go back to Fortnite and PUBG like they always do. It's just the way it is with these BR games.

Indicative of our society... I swear I'm going to make a game with awesome graphics, horrible content, horrible mechanics, and horrible gameplay, then the night before launch leak a passcode for the final boss encounter with a cut scene. No returns, and I'll have made my money.
