Any idea when this will be available?  I have seen people talking about their higher end kits not running their XMP stable on the board.  I was looking at getting this set of g.skill 4400Mhz CL 18: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-4400c18d-16gtzr Any opinion on this kit being able to run at it's advertised speed?  Does anyone happen to have this kit?

I just built a new rig with GSkill Trident Z Royal F4-4600C18D-16GTRG with xmp profile 1 @ 4600mhz CL18 without issue if that helps you at all.

Thanks @mattman657 and @Deficatus.  That eases my mind.  I know this board is supposed to have excellent RAM overclocking, so I did not think it would be an issue.  I ordered the kit a couple of days ago.  I'll probably order my board this weekend.

Yea the board most likely won't be the limiting factor with your RAM OC. If any bottlenecks exist, it'll be your CPU.

To give you an idea of what I'm running. When I first built my new rig about a month ago now I was running 5.2ghz CPU at 1.340vcore with Ram at 4,133MHz 16-16-16-37 at 1.450 I believe. This was before I setup GPUs. Once I setup my 2080Ti SLI I had to up my vcore (still ironing this out) to support 5.2Ghz, and had to back off my ram timings to the XMP presets of 17-17-17-37. I've tried upping the DIMM voltage to 1.5v but just doesn't the 16s, so I'll sit happy with the XMP settings. I did increase the voltage a little past the XMP preset of 1.4v to 1.425v just to be safe.

I would also note that if worse case scenario you don't get your desired speed/timings. The Z390 Dark has space for 3 Bios. So down the road we can load the new ones and still keep the old one. And I will end with this motherboard is nothing short of impressive. Never owned an EVGA product before but the bios is easy to navigate and their manual and start up guide are well written where I didn't have any issues.

My only gripes, and they are minor; is there is not a mini display port cable in the box and I wish they had a Dark Mode that disabled the lights when the PC is powered down. Have fun and good luck!

There is a dark mode, I don't remember where it is in the bios but it is definitely there.

If Dark Mode doesn't do it then there is the euro power setting in the bios that actually fully powers down the board (including the USB ports)
I have set my X299 dark with this setting. But it does create a funky start up = first power button push turns the power on for the board, 2nd push actually gives it the power up / boot signal

Interesting. Sounds like the same behavior when boot up after switching off or unplugging the PSU.

    Correct
I guess in Europe they want the system to be fully powered down = no parasitic power draw

I am using it to kill all the LED's on the board and lighted USB keyboard when the system is off

My board will be here tomorrow.

Curious, what results are you guys seeing out of the OC Robot with a 9900k.  I would think it's results would be a good indicator of your chips potential.

I myself never really tried it , just went straight into manual overclocking.

Mind if I ask what your CPU and Mem OC settings are at? I have (virtually) the same memory and it's not very stable at XMP stock.
