What would the PPD look like? Is it ok or should I save my bucks for something else?

    Just a little better than a 980Ti.
I would look at a 1070 or better.  Better PPD and use less electric and throw off less heat.
I had one and it was like a hair drier coming out the end.
Seeing used 1070 seeing for around 230-250 for the strix. EVGA 1070, 200-250 selling price on ebay.

You did ask about a Titan X maxwell and not the Titan Xp pascal right?
The Titan pascal will be a bit better than a 1080Ti
If you have a 1060 now I would jump up to a 1080 it 1080Ti and get 1,000,000 PPD
They are selling used for 500-600 now a days.

Not sure if it’s pascal, it’s in the b stock section.

That is a maxwell I am pretty sure. A Xp would not be that cheap.
Save your money.  I am not sure about the 2070 and what it does.
    I know my 1080s do around 800k and my 1080Ti around 1.1 - 1.3m PPD or so.

EVGA made 900 series (Maxwell) Titans --> all 10 series TitanX are Nvidia exclusive

My 2070's are pulling a solid 1.1M PPD.  Have 3 of them at work for a week now.

All on  Linux mint, my 1080ti does 1.1 - 1.3 mil pd,
    the 1080 sc does  850-950,000
    my 3 1070's average 700-750,000 pd
1060's average 375-400 in the 3 gib version and the 6 gb version does about 400-450,000
seems the 2070 is near equal to the 1080ti

Just a heads up, Titan x Pascals were never sold by EVGA, so if they have it is for sale through b-stock, you can automatically determine it isn’t going to be pascal.

I was checking RTX2060 for 3-4 days and it could make about 1m ppd. I was actually surprised as 1080Ti in my other rig can make about 1.1m.

Yeah, its a helpful resource, though they've changed the front page to only show the summarized averages.  Before you could dig into the individual data points and see how many people had reported PPD for that particular card and throw out any extreme outliers to get a more accurate estimate.  Its something I had been considering putting together for our forums here, but I don't know that there is a pressing need as they already have it over at OCN.
