Thought I would start a thread about this and we can share our findings.

Post the game title and the highest bit depth and sample rate you successfully got the game to run at. Also any other information about glitches and things should be helpful.

Steam - Injustice , Gods Among Us - 32 bit 384khz - seemed to work fine but when I won the game I had no audio during the winning cut scene, then it came right back in the menu.

modes like 32 bit 384khz doesnt really improve sound in videogames - stick with ~24 bit 96kHz

Star Wars - Battlefront 2 - 32 bit 192,000 Sample rate - I can't get it to use the two sample rates offered that come past 192 without introducing a ring modulated like distortion sound. The 96 to 384 switch method doesn't work either. @ 32 bit 192 it seemed pretty solid.

Battlefield 4 - 32 bit, 384KHZ - I was not able to just go into the game and that work, If I did I would get no sound at all. I had to first go into the game 32 bit 96K and then hit control escape to get back to the desktop and the Nu-Audio control app and then set it to 32 bit, 384K and hit apply and then go back into my minimized game and I still had sound in game. Using that method I was able to get many games to work that normally had no sound if I tried 32 bit 384K first. I made a thread about that here. https://forums.evga.com/I...game-now-m2916605.aspx

32-bit/48khz is the most compatible from my experience with the AE-5.

I thought about trying one of those awhile back, when someone on Amazon told me it couldn't record at the full rate it plays back I held off. I think you may be right about the 32 bit 48khz being the most compatible, it does not seem everything is quite ready for 32 / 384K. But hey, even 32 bit 44-48 khz is a substantial improvement over 16 and 24 bit.

BattlefieldV will not initialize @ 32/384.
Settled on 24/48, which works perfectly so far.

I don't know if this is related, but I use to be able to at least open Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) at 32bit 384 but it would not sound rite till I switched down to 192k and below. But now the game will not even load at 384. I have to have  it set to 192 or below in Windows just to get the game to load now. They got a few patches lately and I bet BFV is the same. I had BF V installed for awhile but I just uninstalled it as I don't have the space for two such huge game. But I remember I would do the Battlefield 4 192KHZ "trick" to get the game loaded then control+escape to the desktop and set it full and it would work for me.

But either the Nu-audio's drivers or the games's updates have changed and at least for me an Battlefront 2 I can't even attempt 384 k.

Those high sample rates are pointless in the first place. You will never need anything more than 44.1 kHz at 24 bit (0 Hz to 22 kHz audio range with 0 to 144 dB [worst case] audio levels). And realistically, usually 44.1 kHz at 16 bit is sufficient (0 Hz to 22 kHz audio range with 0 to 96 dB [worst case] audio levels). Keep it real. Keep it compatible.
