980TI Burned Out

After 3 years and 6 months, no overlocking, or after market AIOs, playing CSGO in 4k, it just burned out (I can smell the fumes) I've owned many EVGA cards in the past, is this the quality of there newer cards? That around the warranty expiration you can expect it to pretty much fail?
 
The support guy basically told me I am just out of luck and that I should be basically glad i got 3 years out of it, for a high end gpu. Does anyone know any after market repair?

    Yes, it has been happening to a lot of 900 series video cards over the last half a year. Most of them have been burning out not long after their warranty has expired. Looks like NVIDIA chose very carefully for maximum profit.
