Some questions on warranty transfer...

I just bought a 1080ti FTW 3 off of my friend since he got his 2080ti in the mail recently. It is arriving tomorrow, and I had a few questions about warranty transfer. First off, what is the easiest way to transfer the warranty to me from him? How do I know when my warranty will be up? Do I need a copy of his invoice from when he bought the card? Is there anything else I should know or be worried about? I know the card he sold me was a replacement for his original one that failed on him about 6-7 months ago, so I want to make sure the warranty deal is in order. Thanks in advance.
 
Edit: He bought the card in 2017 sometime, I believe.

    Just register the card.
