Hello, I submitted a request for a step up back in early September last year. I am stepping up from a 1080Ti to a 2080 (around same performance but with new features). In my account, it states that the process is still "In Queue". I know there was going to be a long wait and there isn't a definite time frame for stepping up to new cards, but I was noticing that some people posting that they received their step ups in the forum.

I know this might not be possible to check but is it possible to see where I am in the queue? Or at least an estimate on the remaining wait time? Months? Years? (I hope I get my card before 2020!) Again, this is just a concern since there is very limited information on the situation (e.g. was there a problem at the factory? were there so many requests? etc.).

Thank you

I'm sorry, position in queue is not available. There are many factors that play into how quickly the queue moves and this release is a bit slower than past releases from what others on the forum have said. If you entered the queue in September you are closer to the front of the queue than the back.

    Everything is security.

    5 months waiting ?  WOW.

Especially on cards that according to multiple news sites all say they aren't selling very well.  They are all in stock at all the usual places too.  Seems like the requests could be filled faster than that.?

But of course, what do I know.?  Maybe it is more of a manpower/ logistics issue than an availability problem. ?
It takes a lot of time to manually process every request & verify info....It's not like an easy automated procedure.

I don't see the rate of sales being really a factor since EVGA has the cards sold out most of the time. I did notice they said a decrease in demand in China which seemed to have a lot of cards sold to miners that craze seems to have of ended but doesn't really change availability in the United States.

Thanks for posting this as I am also in the queue with no information.

Just for reference, per the email rec'd from EVGA, I entered the step-up process for this card on Sept 22nd, 2018

Might be interesting to see what others have experienced as well.
