I want to future proof as much as i can as i dont buy video cards very often.  I purchased the 1070ti on a sweet deal for 349.99.  I was planning on stepping up to 2070 (15 days left) or the 2060.  Its a bit of extra cash for the 2070 or a straight swap for 2060.

Can some experts give me pros and cons for getting the 2070?

Thanks so much in adavance!!

David

You are saying going to the 2060 would be a step down?  So poney the extra cash for the 2070?

    Thanks!!

Ha-ha... the LED logo is your answer to the question?

David, you somewhat answered your own question with "or a straight swap for 2060".
Future proof = more raw power.

Yes a Step Down or maybe at the same level but you also lose your LEDs.
LED Logo (White) on your current Card there are none on the RTX 2060 Cards.
You also Drop from 8192 MB, 256 bit GDDR5 to 6144 MB, 192 bit GDDR6 so you lose 2 GB of Graphics Memory.

I would say if you had a GTX 1070 going to 2060 might be worth it but not from a GTX 1070 Ti Card.
Also the Two RTX 2070 Graphics Cards below also have no LED Logo.
EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Black GAMING, 08G-P4-1071-KR, 8GB GDDR6, Dual HDB Fans
EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 XC BLACK EDITION GAMING, 08G-P4-1171-KR, 8GB GDDR6, Dual HDB Fans

Good info.  Thanks guys.  Too bad about the LED.  I think the only step up option i have for the 2070 is the black edition.

Is there any difference in OC'ing on these 2 cards?  I have heard the 2060 OC better, but i cant find anything online to substantiate.

    Thanks!!!!
