I just finished a brand new build with a GTX 1080 TI FTW3 Hybrid, after running it for a couple of days I decided to start overclocking. Any time I try to change a setting in XOC whether it be voltage target, clock speeds ect. My computer either totally freezes up after applying a change or the graphics crash and I get a black screen. It doesn't matter how small the change. Please help! I was super excited to overclock this beast of a card!!

So I tried to use Afterburner and it turned out the same way, froze for about 5-10 seconds and then gave a black screen. Could this maybe be an issue with the card or the drivers that I have installed

    Is your CPU overclocked ?

    RAM running XMP ?

    Temps ? Room, CPU, GPU

GTX 1080 TI FTW3 Hybrid are factory OC

OS details: Edition, Version (number), OS Build (number)

Nvidia driver being used & full driver & extras or only the GPU driver & PhysX ?

Changes you have made to Nvidia control Panel

What is running in the background ?

If your running Windows 7 Pro, try what I run (AIO Folding Rig)  Precision XOC 6.1.4 & Nvidia 378.92 (only installed the GPU driver & PhysX)

I've had this happen when the power was being monitored (by default in the version I was using). Try going into the settings and see if that's the case; if so uncheck that box.

Nothing has worked so far... And thanks to all of you guys for the help! But do you think that it is time to look into an RMA?

Also nothing changed whether the card is set to OC or Normal, Kboost clocks the card at 1569

Thanks for the advice.  I can't find a setting for power monitoring.  Are you saying in the Precision XOC settings?  Any additional details are appreciated.

I'm currently experimenting the same thing (not boosting beyond 1569MHz, crashes in precisión XOC and afterburner)

I heard of this sort of thing  happening with a dodgy power supply before with someone . He was unable to get good memory speeds ?
If you PSU is OK , can you try different RAM ?
Can't see precision and afterburner playing up .
