This is the drives that allows VRR in certain Freesync monitors. My son has a 32" AOC Freesync which will be interesting to see how it performs if we can enable G-SYNC for it.

I was initially irritated at the freesync thing since I only in the last few months bought my GSync monitor. Was thinking I could have saved a few 100, but then I saw the line about it not working in multi-monitor setups for now etc. and since I have a 2nd non-GSync/etc monitor connected I guess it's pointless. I can move on from the DP hotfix driver at least though. Haven't had any DP port issues though since running it. I only had one issue on the previous Dec 12th(I think?) release where the GSync monitor wouldn't wake up until I turned it off and on, but my old Dell did. The earlier 4xx drivers neither would wake up no matter what until a forced restart.

Upon installing this when I open Windows Update to the fullscreen it blurs the text for a milsecond. Dunno if this is driver related or I didn't recongize this for the first time? Perhaps driver related need to be looked into? I haven't tested this with games. I am running a EVGA 1060 6GB SSC. This happened after I recently updated Windows 10 recently. Had an update of 1809 recently. Might be Windows 10 related. I will be sure to inform them too. I also too installed this driver also.

Assuming you had 417.71 installed before the windows update, uninstall, run a driver cleaner, and reinstall it and see if that helps. I'm not having any issues on 1809 like that, however I only updated to 417.71 after forcing the 1809 update to install first. The way "service pack" type updates like that install on 10 is like installing a new copy of windows and all of your settings, installed programs, drivers, etc. are migrated to it. Sometimes there are some weird effects. As an example I have to go set all of my "room correction" settings in the sound control panel for the sound in my motherboard's volume/effects control app. In the past I also had issues where the update would install a newer Nvidia driver than what I had (and one that didn't even exist on the Nvidia site) or even worse is that my Dell monitor for some reason Nvidia drivers default to not sending the full color range and I have to set that manually. The migrated Nvidia driver a few of those major updates ago would not remember that setting through a reboot. So now I either uninstall the driver after updating and reinstall. Or I update to a new driver immediately after and either way tell the installer to do the clean install and wipe all the saved configs.
