Can you describe the smell in more detail?

The only smells I can imagine eminating from a PC are burned components or burst capacitors.

Were you able to find the source of the leak? Something else you can do is put some paper around likely areas of leakage (e.g. bends in the tube) as well as connection points. If the coolant is dyed, you should see a tell-tale stain left behind. If the coolant is clear, you will still be able to see some deformation in the paper if it became wet. Do let us know how you resolved this issue.

A glycol smell, I presume, based on the "coolant smell" comment. It would be a very similar smell to a car's coolant leak smell.

Touching various points on the cooler with a paper towel - after shutting the PC down to Avoid an issue with the Fans - wetness could indicate an issue

Did you remove all of the factory plastic protective film ?

Did you use the factory screws to mount the fans & radiator ?
