Would the waterblock on my 780 work with any new cards or any cards above the 780?

+1...... also are you willing to/have the ability to mod the block if its close? Cause if not theres really no sense of killing yourself to see. Most likely it will need something to get it on right if the gpu lines up since its made for a different setup.

That’s my problem I can’t test fit until I buy new card. Thought maybe someone might have tried it.

I believe not. All manufacturers changed waterblocks for Maxwell (980/980Ti) and Pascal (1080/1080Ti).
Waterblock used on most cards I saw was GTX780 Classy waterblock. He was compatible with several cards.
GTX780 Classified, GTX780Ti Classified, even next generation, I even believe with GTX1080 Classified.
People who bought GTX780Ti Classified could use waterblock on next 2 generations.
Decision to continue with same politic could cause to more customers switch to watercooling if they could use waterblock on 2-3 generations as CPU block. But cooling only GPU chip distract customers, they want full cover.
