So I noticed that the in the flow control software for the CLC 280, the Pump speed is set to max by default. Is this bad for the pump? and is it okay to run the pump at the minimum pump speed?
I have a 4790s which is not overclockable and I mainly got this cooler for potential upgrades in the future as well as the fact that it was a really good price. So I know for sure that right now, I do not need the cooler to be running at max pump speed. I have the fans set to auto so I should be good there.
My main concern is that if the pump is constantly running at max for a long period of time it could damage/degrade overtime. I want to lower the pump speed to minimum but I don't know if running at non default settings could actually be worse than having the pump run at max which is wat EVGA tested it to run at.
Thanks for the advice/clarifications!
