This is GeForce Hotfix driver version 417.xx that addresses the following:
  • Black screen when resuming from monitor sleep on some DisplayPort monitors
  • Windows 7: FPS drop when G-sync is used with V-sync in games
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Fixes occasional application crash in DirectX 12 mode
  • Fixes black screen on BenQ XL2730 monitor using 144Hz refresh rate
  • Fixes lockup when resuming from sleep on MSI GT83 notebook

    I just tried the hot fix today and my computer would not get into windows and went into repair mode for windows. I even tried safe and did not work. I had to do a restore of my computer to get windows to work.

    Threadripper 3960x on PBO  3 alphacool 360 mm radiator 1 60mm thick and 1 30 mm thick and 45 mm thick. 1 280 mm radiator is 30 mm thick, Alphacool  pump and reservior  and a new Alphacool Elisblock XPX Aurora Pro cpu block
    Gigabytev TRX40 designare
    4 Adata XPG SX8200 pro NVMe in raid 0 O/S and games
    Samsung 970 evo 2TB NVMe 
    2-PLEXTOR PX-1TM8PeY NVMe in raid 0 for games
    4-SCANDISK ULTRA 4TB ssd in raid 0 for games
    EVGA T2 1600 watt/  128GB Cruical Ballistix  3200mhz@3600mhz same timings
    LIAN LI 011 D XL black with Modded front panel for 360 radiator.
    Dell Alienware AW3418DW G-sync Monitor 120 hz
    2 RTX 2080 SUPER FTW3 HYDRO COPPER

    A couple of times, they have mixed up the DCH (For OEM systems) and the regular drivers not apparently the case here I checked. Which one did you install?

    Did you uninstall the Current NVIDIA Drivers and Software and then restart into Safe Mode and Run DDU?
    If not you can do this now.

    If not you can do this now.


    Yes uninstalled and ran DDU in safe mode and reboot. I also disable my antivirus software when I install new nvidia drivers and unplug my internet cable so windows does not try to install windows nvidia drivers

    This fixed my issue with constant reboots from black screens of death. I do not use DCH as I am a standard home user and avid old school gamer on an average old school system running the GTX1060SC. Thanks for putting me onto the 417.58 hotfix! Lock and load troopers!

    It works great for me.
     
    I installed it yesterday. Played 5 hours of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.
