PSU 8pin SVGA to SATA or Molex 5v&12v mod. Has anyone done this? I am not a gamer. This PSU has four SVGA 8pin power outs and only one is being used. I have all my SATA ports occupied but I need more without splitting. Not a gamer. Is there a way to tap into the SVGA ports and, somehow, get the desired voltages for the HDDs?

VGA ports provide only 12V, for HHDs you'll need 12V and 5V. Why do want to avoid splitters? Just get descent quality ones and you'll be fine.

Thank you for your reply. I found some options but decided not to go that route. I just thought what a waste to have all that split power and not be able to use it. I'll get over it.
