Fallout 76 received a major patch today that aims to improve the gaming experience in more ways than one. For PC users, a welcome addition comes in the form of the much-needed FOV (field of view) slider that has already helped tackle some complaints as seen online after launch. Today's patch is a positive step, however, and hopefully this is one of many, many more that are needed before the game gets any real traction on the PC or console platforms alike. I think I'm going to wait a bit longer before I commit to a purchase of this game.

I am afraid it might be to late for the game. By the time the game is fixed I don’t think it will have the player base anymore. It’s the problem with tying he game to a well known brand like Fallout. When it has problems the negative press hurts it far worse and when it fixed people are still reading the bad reviews and getting negative word of mouth.

It's the early access effect. Gamers have the attention span of a meth addict. As a publisher you have only one chance to set the perception of your product. Frankly, it amazes me early access is still a thing. It will damage your sales, not help them.

The problem is people were complaining about non-standard aspect ratio user interface fixes as long as Bethesda has made games. More to the point, all the complaints I were seeing were other resolutions that were NOT 21:9. The people complaining were dual and triple screen Eyefinity and Surround users. Yet, Bethesda in their infinite wisdom take all the wide aspect ratio issues and only attempt to address 21:9 as though that is the only option out there that is being effected. Bethesda can't be expected to fix anything if they fail in the most basic of reading comprehension and don't even properly define the issue. It's not a 21:9 issue, it's a non-standard aspect ratio issue in general that has never worked, because their UI programmers have always been trash.

I don't understand all the complaints, overall the game is good for me. I never paid attention to the story anyway. It has been much better than my BF5 purchase. At least they don't completely ignore issues (like EA and the massive cheating issues in BF5).

I have two characters a 95 sniper and 62 melee, completely love the game but the gsync stutters are sickening for all these hours. The new dx12 wow patch was so incredible I gained 20 fps in cities and big fights, I know this gsync stutter mess is their end.

Edit: Before you say turn gsync off or turn vsync off in game, it becomes a non buttery smooth look, I have grown accustomed to smooth gsync and this game just does not do it well.
