Right now I'm using an i3 8100 in my x370 to update my bios for my 9600k and I get stuck on code 33 with no output to my monitor while using DP any ideas?

    Hello MrReesetopher,

    Welcome to the forums!

Sorry to hear about your issue with your bios setup, you mention that you are getting error code 33, are you able to get into the bios with your i3-8100? or is it after you try to update the bios?

Nothing displays on screen the most I get are post codes at the moment and that's with the i3 currently.

Thanks for the clarification, I forgot to ask, which model of the z370 series do you have?

Error code 33 is related to the CPU & Memory, have you tried using one stick at a time or re-seatting your cpu?

Ok it was actually just displaying temperature and it wasn't working via DP connection I just had to switch over to hdmi and I've got things all ironed out now. (:

What video card do you have an what port were you using?
May also be an issue with a non VESA certified DP cable, if you poke around the 10XX and 20XX series GPU forum sections you will see all kinds of issues related to bad DP cables
