I recently built a PC and everything was fine until yesterday when games started acting up and now they crash often. I've reinstalled drivers, and checked connections. I have inserted a link to a drive folder that contains pictures of what I am seeing.

Could be a faulty cable then. Make sure you're using a vesa certified display port cable.

Would a cable that came with the monitor be certified? I am using the Acer Predator xb271hu.

It may/may not be certified. If your cable isn't listed here then it isn't vesa certified.

I would recommend this cable: https://www.amazon.com/Cl...&keywords=cac-2068

I'll try it through HDMI to see if it is just the display port or if it is something else.

How could a faulty DP cable cause a game to crash? I would have figured it would have shown issues on the display but not full on crash a game. Not saying youre wrong, you clearly know more than me. I was just wondering as it seems odd to me and would like some insight.

Just because the display has become distorted doesn't mean the game has crashed.
