Gotcha, does it matter where I buy it from? I got it off ebay but technically its off newegg. Doesn't need to be from the EVGA store does it?


Since you bought it from newegg you're good to go. Doesn't need to be from the evga store.

I need to know if this worked, i have been bugging with this issue for too long and even paid someone to fix it.
Finally i have found something that sounds like the exact same problem i have.
Please i need to know!

Yes please, same issue here looking for solution... Maybe this needs a dedicated thread, it seems like a common problem for people.

I have bought a EVGA 750 P2 and i'll let you know if that is the case.
If i needed to upgrade my PSU rather than my GPU i feel very lucky.

Some of the guys helped me the other day, my gpu wasnt going over 315MHz gpu usage. Turns out the GPU 8pin connection wasnt seated flushly.
May want to reseat the power connections.

GPU usage and clock speed are separate things. When I get hard freezes it's the GPU usage that drops to 0%. Checking the 8 pin connections is a good idea and mine are firmly seated.

It worked!
Even though it was a little difficult "Installing" the PSU with all the new cables.
So, I upgraded my EVGA 750 G2 to an EVGA 750 P2 and now it works perfectly, which is twice as expensive but it solved the problem.

Having the same exact issue but I do not get any random reboots at all. Just random freezes and I can see the GPU usage drops to 0% and then picks right back up where it left off. Temp is way below high limit.
