Asked this question in one of the other forums, but I figured this was the more proper venue. I wanted to see whether anyone has tried running MilkyWay with the Titan V... What sort of performance are you seeing? What would be the minimum CPU that you would need to max output for MilkyWay?

An alternative would be to go with a pre-owned GTX Titan 6GB or Titan Black at $250...

The Titan V is a beast at Milky way. A task done every few seconds.

The Titan 6gb Black and Z are good too. My titan 6gb can do 8 at a time in over 4 min that = 30 seconds per task
Divide # of tasks into the time
The AMD R9-280x  HD7970 and dual GPU 7990 are just as good. The 280x is about 30 seconds per task but only do 2 or 3 at a time.
The Firepro 9000 9100 are about the same too.
The GTX 1080Ti do pretty good even though they do not have very good DP  processing

    I have a Titan 6gb, 1080Ti, AMD HD 7990,  R-9 280x and a firepro 9000  They all do MW very well
The Titan V is more than I am willing to spend on a card.

Here is a link with a lot of good info. Page 3 and 4 talk about the newest MW tasks

There are several nonsensical threads in the general forum for that purpose. Not cool.
