Good day, hope you're well,

As the title states, I am unable to get my motherboard (Asus RoG Strix Z370-F Gaming) to detect the CLC.

I've tried every setup possible. I've tried both the AIO_Pump header, as per my MoBo's instructions and the USB 2.0 as EVGA instructions.

The AIO pump is enabled on my board. I've tried DC, and pwm, auto, basically everything. Nothing is detected, but the CLC is running smoothly, cool and quiet.

What is going on here? Is there something that's defective? I don't get a usb sound when I plus or unplug the pump in while running, either.

I'd really appreciate some time to chat about this. I called tech support but the fella told me he had no idea about what was happening and his superior said restart my PC as the solution, along with a full uninstall and windows reinstall, which I already tried.

Thank you so much. I look forward to resolving this issue!

MAX / 100% DC power setting on the header -- No software control -- or the MB will not see the CLC.

Do not use a PWM fan curve for the header you connect the CLC to.

Does Device Manager show Any yellow circles ?

Does the Pump USB driver show in Device Manager ? (right click, uninstall - let it reinstall)

Question / IssueEVGA CLC Flow Control software disconnects from USB or shows "No USB Device Found"

    --------
    Excerpt

Answer / SolutionIf you are receiving an error message when trying to install EVGA Flow Control or have
disconnecting issues while using the software please try the following steps:

We recommend connecting the CLC fan header to the CPU1 or CPU2 header on your motherboard.

Make sure the fan header setting in BIOS is set to MAX or 100%. Do not use a PWM fan
curve for the header you connect the CLC to.

If your motherboard has a fan header designated for a "Pump" you should connect the CLC
fan header to this specific location.

If you continue to have this issue or have a related problem without a solution, please
    contact EVGA support

Disable Fast Boot in the BIOS Boot menu which is Enabled by default (USB and other devices may not be recognized with Fast Boot Enabled)..And as stated above, set Q-Fan Control for the AIO Pump header to 100% in the BIOS.

I would also disable Fast Startup (at least for the time being) in Windows Control Panel -> Power Options.

Be sure the USB header that your cooler is connected to is enabled in the BIOS.

See if any of that works out for you.

I will check into the wonderful answers provided when I get home.

However there is a glaring issue! There is no Ian driver for the pump, there never has been.

I'll give a reply when I am done investigating when I arrive home from work later tonight.

You guys have been awesome so far.

Okay, so here's an update: We've made progress but it's not there yet. A step in the right direction, though.

As per some of the above posted content, I changed the "to motherboard" connecter to the AIO_PUMP header, and placed the closest fan on the CPU header.

This allowed the MB to get an AIO Pump Speed reading. The caveat to this feat is that there is no driver for the pump that has been installed, and zero yellow circles in the device manager. I can't find the pump USB driver listed.

I'm going to try to uninstall flow controls and see if that helps.

I did nothing and found nothing to cure the issue.

    No sign of drivers anywhere.

    Ideas?

    No sign of drivers anywhere.

    Ideas?

Go to EVGA Drivers and BIOS Downloads..Open the 'Other Products' tab..Select 'Closed Loop Coolers' from the Category..Select 'All' as the Part Number..Select 'Driver' from the Type..Uncheck 'Show Latest Driver' (to show the complete list) and then click Submit.

You can click 'View' to read the notes for more information on each version.

You should be using the latest version, but as happens with other software/drivers, sometimes older versions might work better.

    Thank you Bob,

I have done that, but that is just the flow control software and not any actual drivers. Unless the flow control installation gives the drivers, as a typical installation normally does. However, nothing was downloaded or included to assist in the drivers.

I've uninstalled the flow, restarted, disabled all forms of fast boot, restarted. Installed again. Nothing shows up in the device manager for the drivers, so no yellow circle or !.

Thanks for working with me on this Bob, I hope we can figure it out. Please don't stop responding :) <3.

PS: I'll try an older version when I get home from work. Until then, can we still check out other pathways? Pretty sure we're running out of options, really.

    Thank you.

I installed Flow Control and it puts a Driver folder in the C:\Program Files (x86)\EVGA\Flow Control folder with drivers in it here..Not sure if that's what you or not..Of course it tells me CPUWB (CPU Water Block) "Device not found" when I open Flow Control because I don't have an EVGA CLC cooler..You can try it and see how it rolls.

Not sure what else to tell you about it.

I'll try that. I'll also try a different directory instead of the 86. Isn't the 86 the 32 bit folder, or something similar?

Yep yep..x86 would be 32-bit and x64 would be 64-bit.

Would the flow control being in the 32 bit folder make any difference? I just have program files which is not labeled x64 but from my understanding it's the x64 if it's unlabeled since it's the main file system for the OS.

I'm running an i7 8700k on the z370 with win7 x64 professional. I wonder if there's an issue because of that.

I'm not inept when it comes to tech, but I've never experienced 32bit folders vs 64, or any of their interactions.

    You're welcome.

All I can tell you is that you can get either the 32-bit or 64-bit software from the download page, you need the 64-bit, and run the installer to install the software along with the included Asetek USB Controllers driver..Might want to right-click on the installer and 'Run as administrator' and see if it matters.

If it still don't work, I don't know..You can always Contact EVGA Customer Service..Other people have problems with it too.

    Good luck.

    I'm uninstalling everything related now.
I've gone back to stock bios settings as well, and then dealt with the AIO Pump settings.
I'm going to redownload the software, but I've never noticed the Asetek USB controllers driver—even as part of the package.
I've checked the flow control driver folder, and the drivers are there but they do not get installed.
Subsequently, I will try an older version of the software and see if the drivers install, after the above probably doesn't work.

I've noticed that mannnny others have this problem. I've also chatted with EVGA tech support and they said loljk, don't know anything about what you're talking about. That felt pretty ****ty.

That Asetek USB driver installs the first time you ran the setup, or should have, did for me..After the first install, it won't ask you to install the driver again..I dunno, uninstall it all, delete the leftover folders, restart your PC  and try another software version.

Going back to a Windows restore point before you installed the software, then trying again, could be another option too.

I honestly do not have that driver! There is no Asetek USB driver installed in my devices, or anything with a generic name that has the Asetek driver signature. How fkt.

I'm pretty sure I've deleted the leftover folders, but I'll scan again after the uninstall and find stragglers.
I've also completely wiped the windows install and did a clean install after nothing worked, and then installed and there was never an Asetek driver included, even in the DM.

I wish I could get an inf file for these drivers. EVGA where you at?

Something I noticed is that when you install the Flow Control software, it also installs LED Sync along with it..Maybe try just uninstalling LED Sync and leave Flow Control be, and restart your PC.

That's totally all I can tell you..The software seems broken..We tried.

    Interesting.
I noticed the led sync and had it uninstalled at some point but encountered other error messages. I'll play more with the led sync tomorrow and see before I go with the below listed option.

I think it's come down to me exchanging this CLC for another brand. I'm a little disappointed in EVGA for this product, which is surprising. Today was my 15th day of purchase so I hope the retailer let's it slide for tomorrow based on customer history.

Thank you guys for all the help.

    Well,

The EVGA was returned, and I grabbed an NZXT instead. RIP the EVGA dream.
    The NZXT worked instantly, so.

Thank you all for the help.

I've got a few other EVGA parts so I'm still part of the fam.

Trying to figure out the vertical GPU setup in the DG-75 since it's also a bit, uh, backwards.

Awful amount of problems with such an easy hw piece. I'm very dissappointed and nobody is turning from support it has been a week.

You guys aren't alone in this, I have had this problem and have talked to EVGA multiple times about it. Their advice is always to uninstall and resintall. Never works. Then they tell me itll be fixed in the future, also never happens. Was hoping X1 software compatibility would fix the issue as I assumed the issue was communication between XOC & Flow Control, nope.

Hi guys, I'm having the same problem. However I did find the driver in the device manager.  It is under Universal Serial Bus controllers, Listed as CCVI (ChillControl VI) which I am guessing is a generic Asetek driver dated 6/25/2012.  Ill post more if I can figure it out, for now unplugging the usb cable and plugging it back in seems to help for a while then it does it again. I have tried the on board USB 2 header and a standard Usb A cable, run out side of the case through the top PCIe slot cover. Same problem. Will post more as I find out more, as well as looking here for other answers.  Thanks guys, now I know I am not alone.
