I figured if I am going to be posting my first thread to the forums, rather than replying to threads, it may as well be a system build post! I'll add a little fluff so it isn't just pictures but my previous build wasn't my greatest and I wasn't too happy with it. I do have some issues with this current build and how neatly I did this, but it'll have to do until I can get two RTX 2080 Ti waterblocked cards. The system specs can be found in my signature. As you can see from the pictures, my system sits at about 33 Celsius at idle and rarely gets over 65 in benchmarks. The 7820X is delid with conductonaut, and running stable at 4.785 Ghz. I have had MSI motherboards since Z87 / Z97. I was moving from ASUS boards on a suggestion from a salesman at Fry's, whom I had established a decent relationship with between builds. I was hesitant at first, but since, I have learned their BIOS and was stubborn to change from MSI as I have never experienced issues with their motherboards. I have recently explored looking back into other motherboard brands for in the future, as I expect there will eventually be a new X-Series processor coming in the future (unless Intel decides to never make CPUs again, which I doubt). That being said, When I had purchased this board, it had come with that SLI bridge and unfortunately, EVGA did not have 1 slot bridges at the time. But, functionally, it works so I'm not complaining! :)

I originally planned to put waterblocks on the cards, and then put a 360 radiator on the bottom, but with the new cards being announce, I am waiting for those. I would hate to purchase waterblocks, then move to two different cards and possibly have to redo the tubing as well. I try to avoid 90 degree fittings anywhere I can. In the case of the singular 90 degree fitting, I could not have made a clean bend so I though it would not mess up the flow of how the tubing too much! There is something calming about bending the tubing though rather than using fittings so I don't mind it much. This was my first time using PETG and not acrylic. Its way easier to use, but I personally prefer acrylic. I've been looking into using metal tubing as well as glass. Maybe down the line, I'll make a cheap, compact build and see what I can do with either of those. I have not made a mods rigs page for this. Maybe, I'll look into making one! :)

Great, build. Looks like and I will need to install few RGB leds, not fans. They are not competitive in performance. I just thought to people in my country how Lian Li PC-O11 series white is nicest case for white color scheme. But I will be very sad if success in cheaper cases influence to Lian Li stop with production of cases who become recognizable mark of Lian Li. Even 2008 they start to produce steel cases because customers couldn't follow their price. Their history is amazing, from beginning of 1980th they exist. And they are made in Taiwan, I thought China. Price of Lian Li PC-O8 in moment when I bought PC-O11 WXC droped from 460 to 390 euro. But I couldn't afford even that. That's bad, because so small case, practicaly 8-9kg cost over 350-400 euro. I paid my WXC 250e, and top limit was 300 e. Lian Li is now only manufacturer who offer PC case capable to stay right next to expensive hi-fi audio equipment and will not look bad. You could put him near NAD or Arcam Hi-Fi, and small aluminium "can" will fit perfectly.

Thank you! :) I've been holding off since I have not decided on upgrading the cards to 2080 Ti's yet, so it may not be worth the purchase of the SLI bridge if I will need to go with an NVLink bridge ;D Plus, I only paid ~$300 for the SLI bridge, and it came with a free motherboard! -Jacob B.

Really a nice build and MSI is a pretty good brand. I know people like EVGA everything but really I feel it's what works for the gamer.

Came across this build and decided to register! Love this build. Looking to buy a FTW3 card myself and already have the same case!
Just a quick question concerning the clearance gpu - tempered glass. It looks like the psu cables are hitting the glass? Any issues with that? And think there might be a chance to squeeze the powerlink in there?

They absolutely are hitting the glass and it is quite annoying. I would simply use the PowerLink we have for this. I did not, because I was concerned about the clearance of the pump already with the end of the cards. If you have the room at the end of your cards, I would recommend it greatly. It will be snug. The PowerLink adds about 25mm to the card which is going to be right on that edge of the max GPU height size. It may be JUST against the glass. I haven't personally tested it however. I was actually thinking about calling Lian Li to see how much leeway there was as I am trying to fit waterblocks on the GPUs, but they seem too tall. If I can fit the blocks, or the Power Link, I will update you via PM or a reply here! -Jacob B.

Would be neat if there was a PowerLink where the ports faced downwards from the end of the card for single GPU systems in smaller cases... or the existing PowerLink had the ability to rotate the ports to not only outwards (as it does currently) but also up or down.

Great job Jacob. Another Lian Li disciple rears his head, lol. Been seeing a lot of Lian Li's lately....I think they are making a comeback. Do the metal tubing first, its pretty fun and def not as nerve racking as glass plus you can do a lot more things with it. Its what you would say "forgiving".
