That done did it!..Completely blew me away with the before/after temperature results after finally getting around to lapping/delidding my i7-8700K (OC'd to 5.2GHz) and replacing the Intel IHS and Corsair H80i cold plate TIM with Conductonaut.

Tortured with Intel Burn Test.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

Didn't have a need for one of those fancy delidding tools either..Just used a utility knife blade clamped in some vise grips and it easily cut right through the silicone that holds the IHS on.

I have one laptop that has been running Conductonaut for about three years without any loss of thermal performance and have seen similar results on my delidded CPUs. As long as you don't misapply it Conductonaut will last for awhile.

Possibly, although the larger die size on Pascal cards tends to show diminishing returns compared to something like Kryonaut.

I use this Thermal Grizzly for long time on my CPU and my two graphics card can see drop about 5-7ish c. I don't see my CPU don't go over 80c it under with full load which is so good cooler!

I dont have the scren shot because at the time I was just just getting into thermal testing. I was doing SFF builds and was seeing my 8700K running around 85-90 C in my Rig under normal gaming load. It wasnt even overclocked. At the time I was running a

    ASUS Z370-i with Noctua NH-L9i 92mm
    Intel 8700K
    G.Skill Trident Z Ram 8GB x 2
    Titan Xp
    Dan Case V3

After delidding and using Thermal Grizzely I was able to get that temperature between 60-65 C under load. I was just blown away at how bad the themal paste was under the IHS and how changing to liquid metal did to improve thermals. I had heard people say up to 25 -30 C difference and honestly thought it was just a llucky few or people exaggerating the truth.

I actually recently tore down that computer and upgraded to all new parts. The liquid metal looked fine after almost 9 months of being applied, almost no blacking present. I wish I had the pictures to show it but didnt think to take any because I wasnt on here. I want to delid my 9900K and would have no reservations about putting that stuff on there again for the same amount of time. Only thing holding me back is sanding the solder under the IHS.

You are right Sir Bob! Last night I take the risk to Delid and Relid apply Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Liquid Metal Thermal Compound Paste on my CPU!! Wow it much more cooler than normal pasta but Liquid Metal is much great.

I take test stress full load with Volt 1.325 with Adaptive ,VDroop Enable and AUX is Zero the temp reach 85c ish

After Apply metal Liquid with VDroop Disable and Left Voltage on auto 1.375v with Adaptive and AUX is Zero

Now I have boost to 5.225ghz and the temp reach 76c which is pretty low temp
    Now Happy bunny

Tinkering to manually lower the Vcore/Offset might result in even lower temps..But what you really want to watch is the individual CPU core temps (TjMax is 100C, I think)..Real Temp GT.
