I currently have the EVGA z270 FTW, with i7-7700, two EVGA gtx1080 (waterblock version), 32 G-skill ram
The issue deals with the Samsung NvME HD becoming corrupted - windows errors eventually to BSD. Windows 10 loaded, works for a week or two then eventually numerous error codes. I sent the drive to Samsung and they returned the drive saying no issues. So, I installed a Intel NvME drive and the same thing happened. Worked for a couple of days, then windows errors to BSD.
I installed a drive in the m.2 slot, and zero issues. Exact same windows 10 verion, patched, and apps loaded exactly as the NvME drive.
I have a 360 and a 140 radiator, temps stay low for MB, vid cards, etc. Case has fans on all radiators plus 3 more moving air.
So, I have no idea what is corrupting the NVME drives? Is it the heat from the video card that sits on top of it? (One sits on the m.2 drive, but it works, but its not directly under like the NvME) Is it the MB?
Just scratching my head. Wondering if any else has experienced these issues?
