Black Editions without XC in the name are not allowed from nvidia to run with higher power limits. You have not the A chip, so it is not binned and like I wrote, they are the ones with lower power limit, therefore the much lower price. Higher power limit and binned chip = anything with XC or FTW in the name = higher Price (no XC lowest power Limit, XC higher power Limit, FTW3 max power Limit)

These non A Chips are also not compatible with an A Chip Bios. So you can´t install a Bios with higher power limit you find somewhere in the internet.

In my opinion all graphics Card should be advertised with the exact max power limit, but maybe that is not allowed from Nvidia, I don´t know.

    Mines idle at 54 C

I cant seem to get Fan control working in XoC - it just seems to ignore my curve settings.......
The fan button \ Slider is completely greyed out in Afterburrner also.

Don't use XOC. Uninstall XOC, delete the EVGA XOC program folder, reboot, then give Precision X1 a try. Precision XOC doesn't support higher than the 10 series cards.

I assume the issue with Afterburner is that you are using an old version of that also.

getting mine in the mail today. what kinda OC are you getting with that 112% boost?    I upgraded to this 2080 from a 2070 XC Gaming full knowing it wouldn't OC as well as the 2070 but should be an improvement anyway.

To be fair I didn't expect to see a reduced power limit just a lower clock potential, so that's a bit disappointing.

should be able to reach 2000 CC with 112% from 1710 its not half bad.
also 54c at idle is pretty bad im sitting at 41c watching youtube at 0% fan usage, make sure you update your drivers one of the drivers fixed idle clocks not going down so it would be at near max CC speed when doing nothing compared to after driver watching youtube im at 300-400CC

    Hey Guys,
Whats your Boost-Clock on a 2080 Black out of the box and with overclocking? would be interesting to know!

1710 is boost clock and with my OC (curve) using Nvidia ocing tool built into msi afterburner beta

Under heavy load I see it going over 2000mhz but general I see it at 1925 and my mem clock is +500 (112%) power limit

Mine idles at 31-38c depending on ambient at around 25% GPU fan speed at idle, and 50-65c at load at 60-65% GPU fan speed, in a Phanteks P400STG with Cryorig Performance fans all around at around 20% case fan speed at idle and 50-60% case fan speed at load. I have modified the front panel with a hole saw and brought the filters from the top of the case to the front to create much more airflow, and it still looks great too. No overclocking yet, but that's why I'm here. To see what others have gotten. Gonna mess with the power settings and see what's up.

I need the 2080 Black Edition (TU104-400-A1,the non-A GPU) BIOS to fix my graphics card.
The method is download the latest version of GPU-Z and click "save bios" button.
    I really want your help,please!

    Thanks!

I know that this was back in December, but I hope you figured out that you needed the Precision X1 in order to control the fans.
