I'm having an issue with the above software not showing the base clock correctly so I having to set the fans at 100% as I don't want to damage my new 1070 SC 8G card. when setting boost clock it's showing correctly but once I take boost off it's not showing base clock correctly And yes I know you have to close the app to save settings which I do. So need some help or guidance. I'll attach some images wont let me up load image how dcan i reduce size of image to upload ?

Your post is confusing, are you talking about KBoost?  If you're stuck in Kboost and cannot disable it...
Uninstall Precision  and don't "save profiles and data" Then reboot.
After you reboot, do a custom clean install of the driver, reboot again, and that should clear it up.

    Hi HeavyHemi
Thank you for the quick reply Sorry if i sounded confusing.
I'm not stuck in Kboost seem to works fine, I think LOL it's seem to hit it's red marker on the graph when Kboost is selected and when deselected it's on base clock on the graph it's not hitting it's white marker correctly or should it ? as when selecting Kboost graph shows hitting it's red marker and over some what ? I dont know if the software's broken or there's a fault with the new card as it's new and I don't want to damage it. So I put the fans on 100% as a safeguard.

I'll do what you suggested and get back to you is there a tutorial.

I have some screen short but no matter what formats I save them in file is greater than 500k
    Thanks

    Hi All,
I'm a noob here so please forgive me if I have put this post into the wrong section.
My problem is: I am running EVGA Precision XOC to keep my GPU cool at all times (it tends to overheat) During normal use such as web browsing etc it runs fine.
When I try to play games (GTA V, Assasins Creed Origins) the Precision XOC shuts down, then my GPU overheats which then shuts my PC down, it can also get a little smelly - so I am worried about frying my GPU.
Is there a setting on Precision XOC the allows it to keep running during gameplay? My current settings are : Fan- manual,100%, power target 67%, temp target 68%, GPU clock 139mhz, Mem clock 405mhz.
I have also just downloaded Precision X1_0.3.7 beta, will this be more effective keeping my GPU temp down?

    Thanks

    My System:
    OS: Windows 10 64bit
    MOBO: Asus Sabertooth 990FX r2.0 (UEFI/Bios V.2901)
    CPU: AMD FX8300 black edition
    RAM: Corsair 16gb
    GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 6gb

    1) Do NOT install Precision X1.  That is designed for RTX cards only.
    2) Completely Uninstall Precision, reboot your computer, and then play games with no Precision installed.  The card should work fine and the card should keep cool within specifications.  There is no reason why Precision needs to be installed.  If Precision crashes and causes your video card to overheat, stop using Precision.  Simple.  The video card fans are designed to work properly using the card's built-in BIOS fan profile without needing Precision installed.

When I try to play games (GTA V, Assasins Creed Origins) the Precision XOC shuts down

In the Profile tab of the Settings in Precision XOC, set the 2D Profile and/or the 3D Profile to 'Not assigned' (the default setting) if they are not..Then click OK..Then close and open Precision XOC again and check that they remain to 'Not assigned'.

There is a bug that can cause Precision XOC to close unexpectedly if a 2D and/or 3D Profile is assigned..That's what it might be if you assigned a Profile(s)..If that's not the issue, at least you know now that it can be an issue..It's an issue for me (and others) and I can reproduce it 100% of the time.

Use Precision XOC for your GTX card..As stated above, Precision X1 is only for RTX cards at this time.
