I have my new build up and running and so far it is pretty promising on the EVGA board.  Right now I am 100% stable @ 5.2 on all cores @ 1.26 volts.  During stress testing I am staying around 75c.  I am still waiting on a 2080 TI to become available.  So is this average or lucky?

    Sounds promising!
I have an i9 9900k on pre-order with Amazon, and just waiting on the Z390 Dark.

Beautiful! I just got my 9900k and have a Z390 FTW on the way (stepping up to the Dark when it becomes available)

Care to share your BIOS template? I'd like to recreate this when my board gets here. Also, are you using an AVX offset? If so, is it stable at those clocks with an AVX workload?

I'm pretty sure prime95 has an AVX option. I think BIOS will let you take screenshots. No worries, looks like a pretty easy overclock provided the hardware is capable of it.

If you put a thumb drive directly into an USB slot on the board (not into a hub) and hit F12 when in the bios (as shown in the bottom right of the bios screens) it will take your screen shot of that page. It will be an 1024x768 BMP but the file size is 2mb+. I convert them to JPG with GIMP and the size drops to about 250kb which you can then post 2 screen grabs per post if you are doing a direct file upload to the EVGA forums

As to the AVX yes Prime95 does AVX work loads. With an offset of 2 you will notice it drop to 5Ghz under those loads

Umm, you have your AVX offset at "-18"?

That would be boosting your multiplier by 18

AVX offset is used to drop your clocks under the heavy load AVX puts on your CPU to keep it from overheating. Most people use 0 - 3. I think the board is probably ignoring your unreasonable setting

Indeed, that doesn't sound right. That would drop your CPU to 3.4ghz under AVX load. 5200mhz-1800mhz=3400mhz.

Sorry offset voltage -18.  I am running vcore on adaptive voltage so what ever voltage evg bios is calling for -18 mV.  When on adaptive it was setting vcore to 1.28V with offset at 0 but now with the offset set at -18 its and vcore is 1.25V

Could you please check if you've got VRM temps readings using hwinfo and what are those values?

This is old, but offsetting Auto by -0.18 doesn’t equal 1.25 minus 0.18...

This is correct it should only drop the voltage by .00018 Volts according to the manual it is millivolts.  I am just reporting what the software is telling me. YMMV

Yep, you're right, thanks! That was a typo on my part. I meant to highlight that the BIOS settings show an offset from Auto. And Auto might be anything, e.g. 1.35v with the 52x multiplier on all cores. Not a big deal, looks like a solid cpu based on the temps at full load on the 52x on all cores, regardless the voltage.

    Those are great results.
I'm here with my i5 8600k at 4,8GHz 1,275V and it still goes to 85°C during gaming and up to 97°C when stress testing with AIDA64 FPU test ... and that's on delided CPU ...

I might go for i7 9700k with my next paycheck, since those soldered CPUs seems to be good temperature wise.
