Buying a used graphics card, seller doesn't have receipt. Still covered under warranty?

Hi, I have a question. Someone is selling me their used evga 1070 gtx card, but he doesn't have the receipt for it. Do you need a reciept or are you still covered under warranty without it. If so, is there a way to check how many years/warranty the card has left?

    You will have the second hand warranty “if the card has remaining warranty”.

    You need to have the person you are buying from give you some form of invoice showing you bought the card from them.

    Ok thanks. I'll try to get a hold of the serial number first and if all is good, write out a "bill of sale" for both of us to sign before going threw with the transaction.
