Time for a new cpu cooler. I was thinking that my corsair h105 will not be good enough to cool my i9 9900k once overclocked.

Thanks!

Pretty sure it will work, but make sure you replace the stock fan with a fan that has the same, or better static pressure rating as the stock fan or you'll see worse temps.

    Not a good replacement imo.

    Stock fan static pressure: 4.20
The fan you want to use: 2.08

EVGA is selling fan but I'm not sure if they are the same with the cooler stock fans.

Normally anything labeled as quiet is going to be low pressure. They are ok for a case fan if you like to not hear anything but not great for cooling. Two high pressure fans are really not that bad in a case if the rest are quiet fans.

What kind of fan do you think will work best with my evga clc 280? or should I just look for high pressure fans? I'm not planning on doing crazy overclock on my i9 9900k. I'm just aiming for 4.5ghz not 5ghz. Also will push pull configuration on evga clc 280 going to be good with high pressure fan? like is it going to be super loud?

    Thanks!

I am wondering what fan to use in a pull configuration.  The EVGA one will not work in a pull.

I have a CLC280 pulling cool air and it works great You don't need to replace the fans. The fans are pretty good. Just flip the fans around on the radiator.

Any PC fan of the correct size should work fine. For radiator fans, you generally want a fan made for static pressure. Some companies label those as SP (Static Pressure). Fans made for this will generally have larger, flatter blades, as opposed to something designed for high air flow, which would have more curved blades with larger spacing.

Mine Probably does, but I robbed wire from it. But it was clicking and needs lubed or something. I'm liking the F12s on the rad man strong for the rpm...quiet and that Piitch static pressure stuff.

Yeah, but what rpm is that static pressure rating for? That rating of 4.20 is probably at max rpm which is way faster then the rpm of the noctua. If you were to compare a noctua fan with the same rpm, it would have better static pressure. Also, no one really runs these coolers with max fan speed, so that static pressure number isn’t realistic to how consumer actually use the fans. Noctua fan @ 2k rpm>stock fan @ 2k rpm.
