Hi guys from the forum. So i'm in need of some help to overclock my x58. I recently got it and I really don't know how to get more juice out of it, i'm currently running it  @3.2GHz
This are my specs:
-CPU: Intel Xeon E5530 @ 3.2GHz
-RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 1600MHz (9-9-9-24)
-Motherboard: EVGA 141-BL-E757 
-GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (EVGA)

Hi Zeuszzz and welcome to the forum :)
 
Check your motherboard revision number, it should be written on it.
 
If it's equal or above 1.1 then it supports Xeon Westmere-EP. In this case i suggest you buy a Xeon W3680 or W3690. These are 32nm 6 cores CPU with unlocked multiplier compared to your 4 core 45nm E5530 with locked multiplier. It's much, much better and you can find them for cheap. So if you want to get more juice out of your system, i suggest you buy one of these and sell your E5530. You can probably get around 4.5 Ghz on 6 cores with a W3680 with a good aircooler. You'll probably never reach that with your current processor.
